Honolulu Last Minute

Waikiki in Honolulu
Not that it really needs an introduction, but Honolulu is one of the top choices as a vacation destination, especially if you are looking for last minute travel deals to warm climates. A trip here is a treat no matter what time of year you come or for how long. The capital of Hawaii, Honolulu is a spectacular example of tropical weather, clear waters and blue skies that combine to leave any visitor utterly enchanted.
With its warm climate and abundant sunshine, Honolulu boasts a number of attractions that make it irresistible to travelers around the world. Waikiki Beach is one of these, and is a center for tourism. Resorts and hotels can be found throughout, and of course, nightlife thrives. And any time is a good time to go, as the many hotels in Waikiki run last minute specials year round.
But what really makes Honolulu exceptional is its natural assets. Vast volcanoes and lush rain forests showcase opposite ends of the area’s beauty, and the sunsets are incredible. The island’s exotic flora can be seen at the Wahiawa Botanical Gardens, and its fauna can be observed at the Honolulu Zoo. For those last minute visitors who want a touch of romance, Hanauma Bay is for you. This bay provides an extraordinary view of clear waters.
To get better acquainted with Honolulu’s natural history, head to the Bishop Museum, home to the state’s largest collection of natural history specimens. The exhibits are both fascinating and stunningly beautiful.
Another great option is to take an afternoon and explore Honolulu’s neighborhoods. Chinatown provides an authentic experience, and the Arts Disctrict is not far away. The downtown area is full of hustle and bustle, while Kaka’ako is home to two major shopping areas.
The Arizona Memorial is a beautiful memorial that commemorates the destruction of the Battleship Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Visitors can take tours and watch a 20-minute documentary on the memorial.
Later, check out the IMAX Theater with its five-story-high screen. If you’ve got little ones along, they will love this! And if you didn’t get your fill of fish while you were swimming or snorkeling, you can head to the Waikiki Aquarium, which lets you get closeup views of more than 300 different kids of Pacific marine life.
It would not be a stretch to say that Honolulu is magical. For many last minute visitors, it may seem like an unreal escape from ordinary life!
